Sustainability.
In todays world, being aware of our impact on the planet couldn’t be more important. This mission is equally important to us at Just Trousers UK.
Did you know, on average, some of the most well-known trouser companies use upward of 10,000 litres of water to make one pair? This just wasn’t good enough for us so, as well as bringing you stylish and comfortable trousers, our range is also very innovative and aware when it comes to our impact on the environment.
For an item to be ‘sustainable’, it has to be made using fabric and textiles that are controlled, all the way through the products lifecycle. There is no denying the fact that the fashion industry does contribute a large amount of pollution to our environment as well as using millions of gallons of water and inputting a lot of harmful chemicals. This has to change and, we hope it will.
To contribute to this, we have chosen brands with a conscience. LauRie Trousers, for example, have developed methods which mean that their trousers are OEKO-TEX® certified. This means that their clothing is promised to contain no harmful chemical residue and their trousers are considered ‘sustainable’.
There is still a way to go before the fashion industry can be completely sustainable but if we all do our part, we will get there much quicker.
